The menu says it's the best lasagna you've ever had and it pretty much lives up to it. The compound butter and bread were very good. The house salad was excellent. The tiramisu was incredible. Only possible critique I could give is it looked like a generic Italian restaurant and the bread knife could be a lot sharper.

Always a great experience at Lucca’s. Food is delicious and presented beautifully. Tina, the manager, was our hostess and server. She was amazing and added to this outstanding experience. It’s customer service and food like this keeping us coming back for more.

This place is a great date night place. First you walk in and are greeted by a very enthusiastic hostess. Then you are seated and offered, off menu wines. The menu is small serious and to the point, in a good way. There is variety of foods for all palettes and restrictions. We are keto and had a great experience. Our waitress was new but amazing. We decided to be adventurous and try stuff that we don’t normally get. For appetizers we got the mussels with pesto and crab stuffed peppers, both were phenomenal. Plus the wine that was suggested paired perfectly with the apps. After that they brought salad that was paired with an amazing vinaigrette. We ordered the lamb chops and the veal and I seriously can’t choose which one was better, both were amazing. I was slightly worried about ordering the lamb because I’ve had it in the past and didn’t like it. But this lamb was absolutely perfect! If you aren’t sure whether you like lamb or not, this is the place to try it, 100%. The veal was lightly breaded and had a Marsala sauce and was sooooo tender that you can cut it with a fork only. This place is one of the best places that we have eaten at in a long time. Montana’s/Helena’s hidden gem.

Lucca's is the best dining experience I've had in Helena! EXCELLENT, attentive service. The only thing better than the service was the FOOD!!! Their Lasagna is unmatched. The marscapone appetizer makes me drool just thinking about it. Do NOT skip dessert! All of the selections are delicious! Wine Wednesdays gives you 50% off wine making it the perfect night to try them out!

Mother's day we went to Lucca's for the first time and were pleased all around with our experience! Husband a.k.a. myself didn't make a reservation for probably one of their busiest days of the year. The hostess didn't have any tables available until really late and we don't live in Helena. Rather than showing us the door she offered us an alternative solution. She said in about 15 minutes they had three seats opening up at a bar top area that we could sit at, she just needed to take down our name to hold the spot. I already liked the restaurant before we even had our food! Right on time our spot was ready. Waitress did an excellent job explaining dishes and did fantastic overall as a server. The food was muy bein!!! Very filling and all courses from the salad to the dessert were delightful. Prices were reasonable too. Great to now know about a charming Italian restaurant close to home. We will be back to Lucca's again!

Service and food were great! We live in Great Falls, about a hour and half north of Helena. We like to try different places when we are in town and it worked out that we settled on Lucca's this trip. It happened to be Mother's Day, and we did not make a reservation. Me, my husband, and son walked in and Tina the host said she could sit us at the bar and we sure appreciated it. (Now we know to make a reservation next time!). My son was very fond of the bread and butter! I will say for nine years old he is a tough (and sometimes brutally honest) critic. He said "It was the best he's ever had", and our waitress Angie kindly kept it coming to the table. Next we had the salad, very fresh, light and delicious. Our entrees were both pasta dishes, both very good. Pasta and proteins were cooked perfectly. Finished with a piece of tiramisu to go. Thank you Tina and Angie for being so kind and making my Mother's Day dinner the best! You guys were wonderful. -The Irvin Family

First time at this restaurant and had a great experience. Atmosphere is beautiful and food was delicious. I ordered the Baked Gnocchi and a bottle of Muscato D’Asti. Being able to setup reservations was convenient and hassle free. I will definitely be back.

I would like to focus this review on the atmosphere primarily. The food was very good and I would eat here again without hesitation. The service was excellent. If you want to eat at an establishment where you would like to have a conversation with your dinner attendees, this is the restaurant you are looking for. Tasteful background music in a quiet, non echoing dining room where you can hold comfortable conversations. A great location for a date or dinner with friends.
